The Partners in Health and Housing Prevention Research Center (PHH-PRC), is one of 33 Prevention Research Centers nationwide, funded in 2001 by the National Center for Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

The Partners in Health and Housing Prevention Research Center (PHH-PRC) is an equitable partnership   among Boston University School of Public Health, Boston Housing Authority, Boston Public Health Commission and the Community Committee for Health Promotion(comprised of public housing residents and community advocates). Through these partnerships, "we work to improve the health and well-being of the residents of public housing by engaging them in community-centered research programs and prevention activities to reduce health disparities."
