We work to improve the health and well-being of the residents of Boston's public housing, and thus reduce health disparities, by engaging residents in community-centered research programs and prevention activities.

Who we are...

We are one of 35 Prevention Research Centers nationwide, all funded by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).  Funded since 2001, the PHH-PRC is part of CDC’s network of academic researchers, public health agencies and community members conducting applied research in disease prevention and control.

The Partners:

Boston Public Health Commission's mission is to protect, promote and preserve the health and well-being of all City of Boston residents, particularly the most vulnerable.  The BPHC strives to accomplish this through a variety of strategic initiatives and partnerships.
